Yea*, so not much today, apart from this little photoshop doodle i did last week, grey fox/ cyborg ninja from Metal Gear Solid yeah. It's part of a transcription process I'm doing at the moment in art, which wil hopefully end in something quite wicked and quite massive. It's good fun to just see how many things you can arrive at from one image, one palette of colours, poses etc. But, saying that I can feel that by the time the month is up, I'll be sick of the damn picture. Ahwell, as long as the end result's cool.
Um, yeah, so I'm probably gonna be quite busy this week, so I won't do a post almost every day, it's pointless if I'm just gonna ramble like I am now.

This is a painting I'm working on at the moment, about a couple of hours work down here on this board at the moment. Obviously heavily influenced by the work of Ashley Wood. It's a transcription piece I'm doing from a great spread he did in the Metal Gear Solid comic isuue #4 i think...anyway, it's actually great fun having enough time to just play around with a single image, and the lighting, composition, colour etc. Also my first time working with oil paints, which I really like now, they're like acrylics, but much better...really. I just like the whole thing of the paint taking ages to dry and for you to be able to play around with the image as much as you like.

Later today I'll post another version of this image, and a blueprint of how I hope it to turn out like.

Big Fat Yes

No new art for today, bit busy at college and stuff, but I'll be busy doing art mostly, so I'll upload some scans or whatever tomorrow. Instead, here's a sketch I did earlier this year. Mechanical penicl 0.5 and 6B

First doodle is from Philosophy last year. I quite like the ultrascrappiness at the bottom and how the face and mouth are more defined. Biro.

The second is also from last year, a sketch thing I did in Art when the teacher wasn't looking...used a stick and a crapload of ink.
Just my little tribute to great artists liek Lou Romano and Genndy Tartakovsky, Craig McCracken, Don Shank etc. and their work on PPG and Dexter's Lab. Damn they were good. From

about a year ago, i'll do another one soon i think.

Two little quick photoshop doodles i did last night, no more than five minutes on each. Yeah photoshop default size, the laptop I was using struggled with anything above 900 pixels. I'll upload mroe tonight.

First post!! Yes. So, this place i'll be using for posting stuff i do, drawings, paintings etc, basically wicked stuff. And old things. I'll probably update the links with tonnes of awesome stuff i've found in the next few days.

Just an old quick speedpaint. I suppose this'll be a good place to dump them, and posts some thoughts etc. Expect more in the next few days too along with some new stuff maybe. Probably some traditional paintings and drawings etc.
(circa this time last year~)
